What shall the scout group bring/what equipment need to be in the village?

This is a suggestion on what equipment to bring to the camp village.

Please observe that this is not a complete list, but a compilation of what the jamboree organization believe is needed to have a good experience at the camp.

Please check with the other group that you will share village with if you could share some equipment!

OBS! Please do not forget what you need to bring/prepare for the different activities. Please see link at the bottom of the page.

What shall we bring for food preparations?

  • Coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Jamboree22 will not be able to hand out coffee, tea or hot chocolate during the camp due to increased cost related to food. Please bring the amount of coffee, tea, hot chocolate that you will need during your stay. You will be able to buy coffee at the coffee shops!
  • Spices, salt, pepper, sugar, etc. The spices needed to be able to cook what's on the menu will be available at the food court where you pick up your food. Please bring other spices that are “nice to have” as a complement.
  • Doggy bags for your lunch (empty lunch box). The lunch at Jamboree22 will be a cold dish that you will be able to bring to your different activities. It is therefore essential that each scout has a box/doggy bag, to hold the food.
  • Boxes to bring the food from the food court to your village.

Food handling/cooking at the village:

  • Styrofoam box(es) or similar to store refrigerated goods. We will have very generous opening hours at the food court to minimize the need to store refrigerated goods at the village. If you have the need to store refrigerated goods it is perfectly fine to dig a “fridge howl”. We will not be able to offer swapping of cooling clamps.
  • Recycling “bins” for the following items that are needed by the village: plastic packing, cardboard packing, metal packing, uncolored glass, colored glass, newspapers, corrugated cardboard, and residue waste/combustible.
  • Slash water tank/slash water bucket + strainer
  • Food tent
  • Kitchen equipment to be able to boil, fry, cut, grate, mash, etc. You will be able to cook the food at Jamboree22 with “normal” kitchen equipment.
  • Gas burner, Trangia kitchen etc. for cooking.
  • Equipment to do dishes, including dish soap and other consumables. Do not forget kitchen paper! Jamboree22 will not provide any kitchen equipment/consumables that aren’t food.
  • Preparation table
